Resonating RESON8S

For someone who works 24/7 as a Captain Planet, I can’t help but get excited when I hear something made from organic materials. Most of the products we have on the market today undergo intense manufacturing processes. It usually comes with solid and liquid wastes. It costs us millions of pesos to clean when wrongly discharged back to the environment. Trust me, I know this.

Last Thursday, I got my smartphone speaker made from Bamboo, RESON8S. This is one of those products I get excited about. Not only its 100% made in the Philippines but I personally know the designer. There are 2 people I know who are music junkies as I am, so I dragged my cousin and his wife to “test drive” this amplifier.

Reson8s is a bamboo amplifier that doesn’t need Meralco to play. Our first impression is, its simplicity – its OUTSTANDING. The best part is it works. It really amplifies the music. I got the RESON8S Titan. It fits perfectly to my Samsung Note 2. But we think that the smaller versions like the Minions and Nomads amplify louder. We feel like there is a significant correlation between the diameter and the length of the shaft on how the music is being amplified. Titans are huge so I hope they make it a bit longer.

Overall, I could not think of any product that is more suitable for your smartphones. With the increasing awareness on how we can contribute to the environment, I think RESON8S fits the bill. Available in different vibrant colours and sizes.

TO THE STREETS OF BGC

Dec. 5, 2010 - My flatmate and I decided to check Dimensione at Bonifacio High Street. We heard they are still running their 70% off sale on Addidas and other brands. But Dimensione is a home furnishing shop. So I was more excited on furniture than some sports apparel. I  am a huge Nike guy anyway. Poof! There are still on sale and my flatmate was all over it. 

I checked downstairs and immersed myself with the latest designs in home furnishing. Sofas, beds, kitchen wares, drawers and wine glasses. Plus a whole lotta more. You have to check out the shop at Bonifacio High Street Taguig City.

Check out this very cozy and posh living room furnishings. 

 

You will go gaga on their exquisite and artistic designs.

And this blew my mind. Who does these kind of designs? Outrageously painful in a very very good way. I fell in love with the set.

 

I am happy I found these Christmas gift ideas. Now I have something for my family and friends.

After Dimensione, my flatmate checked the Apple store and decided not to because not only it will give me frustrations but it will also breaks my heart. I lost my precious iTouch and I am dying to get an iPad but I hate looking at it until I can afford it. I sat and found a young couple, maybe it was their first date hence the void between them and the awkwardness of their conversation. I have no intention to eavesdrop but it was so tempting that I pretended not to hear anything..LOL

So exhausted at the end of the day. I forgot about lunch. So I went to Cupcakes by Sonja for a needed sugar fix to get me to the other side of the BGC. Tokyo Tokyo at Market Market. It was a major major dinner dinner and lunch lunch. Ohhh sorry for the repetitive thing I was carried away from Tokyo Tokyo. LOL

HALLOWEEN BLAST Visayan Style

October 29, 2010, Iloilo City – I was so excited that day that I get to see my friends from home after almost 6 months since I started working in Metro Manila. It was my first time too in the city and I was all prepared with my Ilonggo slang – well it is acceptable because of my effort.

I will be ready for next Halloween. I'll top my costume next year...lol

RUNNING

Lifting weights is never my style. Although I did it for 2 years but that was it. Enough of the weights. Next to Badminton, I love running. I think it is the most basic and most convenient cardio workout out there, plus its free and you can do it anytime you want. I do it almost everyday, 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM before going to work.

Essentials:

1. Proper running shoes - you have to have a good pair of RUNNING shoes. Not basketball shoes, not indoor court shoes, snickers and definitely not slippers. It can cause injuries when you don't use the right kind of shoes. I use Nike Reax.

2. Music essentials - I can't run without music on. I update my playlists from time to time to help me set the mood for running. Trust me, you need to get all the entertainment you get from music because running as early as 5:30 AM can be boring.

I am a writer, or that’s how I think I am. I travel a lot, not that I am rich or anything close. I am just a blue collar worker that saves up for it. This is my obsession and strangers are like a drug to me. They fuel my appetite and my curiosity. They teach me one important thing in life, that I am just an infinitesimal individual in the wide world. My story is extraneous and there are a lot of stories out there that are worth telling the world.

I packed my bags and left home months and months ago. At first it was one of the things that I do without thinking, or you can say it was a spur of the moment. Then I realized that it became an adventure of my life, to sail on to the unknown and start from there. Manila was not totally unknown from me, but the thought of living alone and without a job, it was indeed an unknown.

From here forth, this will be some sort of documentaries of the events and things worth telling here in Manila and my life in general. I am an ordinary person. Ordinary it may seem but I have stories to tell.
